The Floral pieces in our booth: (spring, summer, fall, and winter)
The Bridal Show at the JMKAC was a success for 2015! I had so much fun preparing for this event and making all of the floral pieces. It was a pleasure meeting all of the new brides and getting to talk about ideas for their wedding flowers. I am beyond excited to see what 2015 brings for weddings at Caan Floral. Also, Congratulations again to Lynn Washatko for winning the $500 drawing to go towards her wedding flowers!!
For the floral pieces I decided to make a bridal bouquet, a bridesmaids bouquet, and a center piece to match for all for seasons and I tried to go along with some of the trends coming up for 2015. Having a lot of textures in floral arrangement has become extremely popular verses the traditional simple style of wedding flowers.
Winter: I tried to keep this bouquet as simple as possible, mostly whites, with a touch of light blue and some soft greens along with cedar for a wintery look. I used white tulips, white David Austin Roses, white football mums, white stock, babies breath, and grey brunia. For the greens I used incense cedar and lambs ear.
Fall: This bouquet was so fun to make, I tried to stick with a rustic theme for these and really tried to use contrasting textures and colors. In this bouquet I used burgundy Dahlias, purple flowering kale, and peach David Austin roses, and red hanging amaranths. For the greens I used a mix of seeded eucalyptus and magnolia.
Summer: Summer is all about the bright colors with a touch of tropicals. I used white stock, fuchsia David Austin Roses, lavender roses, orange ranunculus, orange pincushion protea, pink wax flower, and a few light pink lisianthus. I used lacy dusty miller and a few leather leaf ferns as the greens.
Spring: I really wanted to focus on the freshness and garden look of spring. I used white roses, yellow mini calla lilies, white monte casino, green mini hydrangeas, white dendrobium orchids, queen annes lace and green hanging amaranths, and salal to fill for greens. In the centerpiece and bridesmaids bouquet I made sure to use lots of Tulips for spingtime!
